Planned FTTH Construction Begins on September 21, 2026
Reasnor Telephone Company is pleased to announce that the next phase of our Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) construction has started near the Galesburg area on Monday, September 21, 2026. This next phase of construction is expected to bring the Reasnor rate center to 100% Fiber-to-the-Home availability, making high-speed fiber internet service available to all serviceable locations within the rate center upon completion. Fiber-to-the-Home construction provides a direct fiber connection to homes and businesses, offering faster speeds, improved reliability, and a network designed to support future broadband needs for many years to come.
What residents can expect
Residents may see construction crews, equipment, utility markings, and temporary ground disturbance as crews install the infrastructure needed to expand Reasnor's fiber network.
Please excuse our mess while we work to bring reliable, high-speed fiber connectivity throughout the Reasnor Rate Center.
We appreciate your patience as construction progresses and crews work to minimize disruption and restore affected areas.
Fiber service will become available as construction, splicing, testing, and final turn-up work is completed.
Getting Ready for Fiber
Installation appointments are expected to begin November 1, 2026.

REASNOR FIBER TO THE HOME PROJECT IS NEARING COMPLETION!
In partnership with the FCC and the Enhanced Alternative Connect America Cost Model, Oakhill Engineering, and KLK Construction, Reasnor Telephone Company has completed nearly 90% of the process of building out Fiber to the Home (FTTH) for the Reasnor Rate Center. FTTH will offer superior home and business internet options with speeds and packages that will range up to 1000mbps/1000mbps (see Internet Services). Reasnor has built out for dual connection points to the Iowa Fiber Ring in an attempt to have redundant services available for the best opportunity to limit outages to bring consistent FTTH to the residents of the Reasnor Rate Center. The project is expected to complete by December 2026, weather and material availability permitting, Reasnor expects to be complete by December 2025. **As of December 2023 Reasnor has 27 locations remaining to bring FTTH connectivity.
